In this role, you will support the delivery, implementation, testing, and ongoing improvement of technical projects across Safer Gambling and AML. You will work closely with operational, Product, Technology, and QA teams to ensure that systems, processes, and monitoring solutions effectively support our regulatory obligations and operational needs.
This role sits at the intersection of operational and technical teams, requiring someone who can understand business and regulatory requirements, assist the Product Managers in translating them into system functionalities throughout the development cycle, and monitor their effectiveness after implementation.
As an ideal candidate you will have a sharp eye for detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable working with data, systems, and processes, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and finding practical solutions.
Responsibilities include:
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of safer gambling controls, player protection mechanisms, and compliance-related system functionality.
• Review player behaviour reports, risk indicators, alerts, and system outputs to identify potential issues, inconsistencies, or gaps in existing controls.
• Support the implementation, configuration, and testing of responsible gambling tools, including deposit and wagering limits, time-outs, self-exclusion, reality checks, affordability assessments, and other player protection measures.
• Assist with the configuration, testing, and ongoing optimisation of compliance and risk-management systems, including KYC solutions, AML monitoring tools, risk engines, rule engines, and related third-party integrations.
• Work closely with Product, Technology, QA, and Compliance teams to translate regulatory and operational requirements into clear system specifications, business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support the delivery of compliance-related technical projects from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release validation.
• Participate in integration, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of compliance and safer gambling features.
• Investigate technical or process-related issues, support root-cause analysis, and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Review system data, reports, dashboards, and outputs to validate data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance with defined business rules.
• Support the maintenance and review of compliance rules, thresholds, triggers, workflows, and system configurations.
• Assist with the identification of opportunities to automate manual compliance processes, improve controls, and increase operational efficiency.
• Support the documentation of processes, system requirements, test scenarios, controls, and technical changes.
• Maintain awareness of relevant iGaming regulatory and compliance requirements and assist in assessing their potential impact on systems, processes, and projects.
• Assist with compliance-related change management, including impact assessments, implementation planning, testing, and post-implementation reviews.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external technology/service providers where required to ensure compliance solutions operate as intended.
What we are looking for:
• 2+ years of relevant experience in iGaming, ideally within Safer Gambling, AML, KYC, Risk, Compliance Technology, or Technical Projects.
• Experience with iGaming platforms, compliance systems, system configuration, testing, or technical implementations.
• Strong understanding of system logic, rules, workflows, triggers, and automated controls.
• Comfortable working with data, reports, and monitoring systems. Basic knowledge of SQL or coding concepts is an advantage.
• Experience with UAT, QA, system testing, or troubleshooting technical issues.
• Ability to understand regulatory and operational requirements and assist the Product Manager in translating them into practical system functionalities.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable working across regulatory, operational, Product, Technology, and QA teams.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
